Individual Giving
Did you know that ticket sales cover less than half of what it takes to bring you Seattle Opera's extraordinary productions? We rely on donations from patrons like you to meet the full cost of presenting opera. When you contribute to the Annual Fund or Ring Campaign, or make a Planned Gift, your contribution allows us to stage opera of the highest quality and to provide education and outreach programs to the community at large. As in Individual Donor, you will receive benefits created to enhance your opera-going experience, and you can take pride in knowing that you are a vital part of the Seattle Opera community.
Groups Have More Fun at Seattle Opera
Be our Guest
Join us for our 2008/09 season in McCaw Hall with a group of your friends, colleagues, relatives or students and enjoy a spectacular afternoon or evening of opera in addition to generous group discounts. Plus, for coordinating a group, your ticket is complimentary! Read on for all the information you need to get started (students, scroll down).

How It Works
Groups of 10 or more save at least 20% off regular ticket prices at Seattle Opera, and the savings increases with your group size. Groups may attend any performance at Seattle Opera and enjoy the fabulous discount!
There are two ways to order: by phone or online. When you call to place your order, a 20% deposit is required to guarantee your reservation, but you still have the flexibility to increase or decrease your order until you have the final headcount. As the group coordinator, you place the order and arrange payment for the entire group (individual checks from group members are not accepted). The best part? For coordinating a group outing, your ticket is FREE (must have a minimum of ten paid seats in order to receive the extra complimentary ticket)!
Want to select your exact seats?! Discounted group tickets can also be purchased online using our “Select a Seat” feature.
1. Visit our ticket page.
2. Choose the opera you would like to see.
3. Enter promotion code GROUPFUN.
4. Add at least 10 tickets to your cart on the performance date of your choice, and you will automatically receive the 20% group discount on all tickets purchased.
Every online group order also receives one extra ticket free! (The complimentary ticket will not be shown on the online ticket order screen, but will be included when we mail you the tickets. We will try our best to locate your complimentary ticket adjacent to your purchased seats. When selecting your seats, keep in mind that if all other seats around your group are already sold, the complimentary ticket will be located elsewhere in the hall.)
Young Artists Program
Now in its tenth anniversary year, Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program provides career guidance and training for young professional singers, typically between 22 and 32 years old. This intensive 20 week production-based curriculum includes acting training, master classes, auditions, networking, and complete role study. Artistic Director Peter Kazaras has recently joined the faculty of this nationally recognized program. At the culmination of the program, each Young Artist performs a complete role in a fully produced opera with orchestra.
