Catherine Black, Mezzo-soprano
Catherine Black has sung with various opera groups including Richmond Opera, Court Opera, Belcanto Opera and The Company of Singers. She has sung solo in many oratorios and is a regular recitalist.
She is involved with the Riverside Arts Centre in Sunbury, Catherine is a member of the Manor Players dramatic society, was Chairman of the Sunbury & Shepperton Arts Association from 1997 to 2001 running Annual Festivals, and is now involved with the Riverside Arts Centre Development Project.
MaryClare Morris, Soprano
Mary Clare studied at Trinity College of Music and trained in Milan for a while with Sig. Maria-Luisa Cioni.She first sung the role of Queen of the night in1989,with Beaufort Opera. Since then, She has worked as Stage Manager, Lighting Designer and gained a PGCE. She now teaches part-time in school and from home, leaving time to do weddings and recitals around Ascot and Windsor.
Her other roles include Donna Anna, Don Giovanni and Fairy Godmother in Massenet's Cinderella.She would love to do a full performance of Handel's Messiah with Orchestra one day.
Kay Riddle, Soprano
Having won a scholarship to attend Cardiff College of Music and Drama where she studied singing and music theory, Kay furthered her education by completing a three-year acting course at Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. Following a career in the theatre, music business and advertising she went on to become a mum. Kay now works for IMG/TWI.
Never having lost the enthusiasm for singing, Kay joined The Chiswick Choir in 1995. She has sung with many groups of singers including Bel Canto, the Chiswick based, female, close harmony group and with the Grove Park Chorus.
As a member of The Chiswick Choir Kay has sung solos and duets in several concerts. She is looking forward to singing solo again this summer with the choir and playing Papagena and 1st Boy in The Magic Flute with The Company of Singers. Recently, she has been having lessons with Janet Shell.
